Scott A. Barlow (born December 18, 1992) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball.

Barlow attended Golden Valley High School in Santa Clarita, California. The Los Angeles Dodgers selected Barlow in the sixth round of the 2011 MLB draft. He signed with the Dodgers, rather than attend Fresno State. In 2012, he underwent Tommy John surgery. Barlow became a free agent after the 2017 season, and signed a major league contract with the Royals.

Scott Thomas Blewett (born April 10, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization.

Blewett attended Charles W. Baker High School in Baldwinsville, New York. As a senior, he was the Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year for New York. Blewett was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the second round of the 2014 MLB Draft. He made his professional debut with the Burlington Royals and spent 2014 there, going 1-2 with a 4.82 ERA in eight games, with seven of those being starts.

Blewett played 2015 and 2016 with the Lexington Legends, posting a 3-5 record with a 5.20 ERA in 2015 and an 8-11 record with a 4.31 ERA in 2016, and 2017 with the Wilmington Blue Rocks, where he went 7-10 with a 4.07 ERA in a career high 152.2 innings pitched.

Andrew David Edwards (born October 7, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization.

Edwards attended Marshall County High School in Benton, Kentucky and played college baseball at Rend Lake College and Western Kentucky University. He was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 19th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft. The Royals added him to their 40-man roster after the 2016 season. He was designated for assignment on July 30, 2017, to make room for Melky Cabrera who was acquired in a trade with the Chicago White Sox.

Samir Yarin Dueñez De Sousa (born June 11, 1996) is a Venezuelan professional baseball first baseman in the Kansas City Royals organization.

Heath Devon Fillmyer (born May 16, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization.

Fillmyer attended Florence Township Memorial High School in Florence, New Jersey and played college baseball at Mercer County Community College. He was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 28th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft, but did not sign and returned to Mercer County. He was then drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the fifth round of the 2014 MLB draft.

Fillmyer made his professional debut with the Arizona League Athletics, going 1-0 with a 2.79 ERA in six games, and pitched 2015 with the Beloit Snappers, where he posted a 3-13 record with a 4.98 ERA in 23 games. He started 2016 with the Stockton Ports and was promoted to the Double-A Midland RockHounds during the season; he went a combined 7-6 record with a 3.29 ERA. In 2017, he pitched for Midland, posting an 11-5 record with a 3.49 ERA. The Athletics added him to their 40-man roster after the season.

On January 29, 2018, Fillmyer and Jesse Hahn were traded to the Kansas City Royals in exchange for Brandon Moss and Ryan Buchter.

Fred Foster Griffin (born July 27, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization.

Griffin was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the first round of the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft out of The First Academy. He signed on June 10, and was assigned to the Burlington Royals, where he posted a 3.21 ERA in 28 innings pitched. Griffin spent 2015 with the Lexington Legends where he went 4-6 with a 5.44 ERA. In 2016, Griffin split time between Lexington and the Wilmington Blue Rocks, where he posted a combined 6-4 record and a 5.43 ERA between the two teams. He spent 2017 with both the Wilmington Blue Rocks and the Northwest Arkansas Naturals where he went a combined 15-7 with a 3.35 ERA between both clubs.

Hill was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 32nd round of the 2014 MLB Draft out of Bacone College. The Royals added him to their 40-man roster after the 2017 season.

Brad Michael Keller (born July 27, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Keller attended Flowery Branch High School in Flowery Branch, Georgia. He was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the eighth round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft. He made his professional debut that year with the Arizona League Diamondbacks and was later promoted to the Missoula Osprey. In 15 total games, he posted a 7-3 record and 2.44 ERA. In 2014 he pitched for the Arizona League Diamondbacks, Missoula and Hillsboro Hops., going 6-4 with a 4.31 ERA.

Keller pitched for the Kane County Cougars in 2015, going 8-9 with a 2.60 ERA, the Visalia Rawhide in 2016 where he went 9-7 with a 4.47 ERA, and 2017 with the Jackson Generals where he posted a 10-9 record and 4.68 ERA. On December 14, 2017, Keller was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the Rule 5 draft and immediately traded to the Kansas City Royals for cash considerations.

Khalil Rashad Lee (born June 26, 1998) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the Kansas City Royals organization.

Lee graduated from Flint Hill School in Oakton, Virginia, where he played on their baseball team as both a pitcher and outfielder. As a senior, he pitched to a 7-0 record with a 0.33 ERA, striking out 87 in 43 innings pitched, along with batting .471 with six home runs, 23 RBIs, a .634 OPB and a .941 OPS. He was named the Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year for the state of Virginia.

Lee was committed to play baseball at Liberty University. However, after he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the third round of the 2016 MLB Draft, he chose to sign with the Royals for $579,700 rather than attended college. The Royals chose to assign him to the AZL Royals as an outfielder, and in 49 games, he batted .269 with six home runs, 29 RBIs, 43 runs scored, and eight triples along with an .880 OPS. He spent 2017 with the Lexington Legends where he posted a .237 batting average with 17 home runs, 61 RBIs, 18 stolen bases and a .344 OBP.

MLB.com ranked Lee as Kansas City's top prospect going into the 2018 season.

Nicholas Lopez (born March 13, 1995) is an American professional baseball shortstop in the Kansas City Royals organization.

Lopez attended Naperville Central High School in Naperville, Illinois and played college baseball at Creighton University. He was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the fifth round of the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft.

Lopez made his professional debut with the Burlington Royals and spent the whole 2016 season there, posting a .281 batting average with six home runs, 29 RBIs and 24 stolen bases. In 2017, he spent time with both the Wilmington Blue Rocks and the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, batting a combined .279 with two home runs, 38 RBIs, 24 stolen bases and a .704 OPS. After the season, the Royals assigned Lopez to the Surprise Saguaros of the Arizona Fall League.

Richard Lovelady



Richard Tyler Lovelady (born July 7, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization.

Lovelady attended First Presbyterian Day School in Macon, Georgia and played college baseball at East Georgia State College and Kennesaw State University. He was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 10th round of the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft.

Erick Mejia



Erick Mejia is a professional baseball infielder in the Kansas City Royals organization. He was originally signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Seattle Mariners on June 30, 2012 and then traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for pitcher Joe Wieland on January 12, 2016. He was a post-season all-star with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes in 2016 when he hit .287 in 124 games.

On January 4, 2018, Mejia was traded to the Kansas City Royals in a three team trade that also sent Jake Peter and Scott Alexander to the Dodgers, Joakim Soria and Luis Avilán to the Chicago White Sox and Trevor Oaks to the Royals.

Trevor Oaks



Trevor Scott Oaks is a professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 7th round of the 2014 MLB Draft out of California Baptist University. He had previously played in high school at Woodcrest Christian High School in Riverside, California.

Oaks began his professional career with the Ogden Raptors in 2014, where he was 5â€"2 with a 6.81 ERA in 14 games. In 2015, he pitched in 23 games (21 starts) between the Great Lakes Loons and the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and had a 8â€"5 record and 2.65 ERA. For the 2016 season, he pitched in four games for the Quakes, and 10 each for the Tulsa Drillers and Oklahoma City Dodgers, with a 14â€"3 record and 2.74 ERA. In 2017, he made 15 starts (and one relief appearance) for Oklahoma City and was 4â€"3 with a 3.64 ERA. His season was cut short by an oblique injury suffered in July. The Dodgers added him to the 40-man roster on November 20, 2017.

On January 4, 2018, Oaks was traded to the Kansas City Royals in a three team trade that also sent Jake Peter and Scott Alexander to the Dodgers, Joakim Soria and Luis Avilán to the Chicago White Sox and Erick Mejia to the Royals.

Ryan O'Hearn

Ashe Russell



Ashelee "Ashe" Brenton Russell (born August 28, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals' organization.

Russell attended in Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year for Indiana both his junior and senior seasons. As a sophomore, he went 12â€"1 with a 1.23 earned run average (ERA) with 101 strikeouts and as a junior he was 8â€"1 with a 0.88 ERA and 74 strikeouts.

Russell was selected by the Kansas City Royals as the 21st overall pick in the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft. Russell signed with the Royals, and was assigned to the Burlington Royals, where he posted a 4.21 ERA in 36.1 innings pitched. Russell only played two games in 2016 for the AZL Royals, where he posted a 9.00 ERA in those two games.

Edward Salcedo



Edward Starlin Salcedo (born July 30, 1990) is a Dominican third baseman in the Kansas City Royals organization.

Salcedo signed with the Atlanta Braves on February 23, 2010, to a minor league contract. His $1.6 million signing bonus is the largest the Braves have ever given to an international prospect. The Braves say they regard the 6-foot-3 Salcedo as a first-round talent who is projected as a strong offensive and defensive player. He was named the 9th best Atlanta Braves prospect according to Kevin Goldstein of Baseball Prospectus. Salcedo's playing career was delayed due to suspicions about his valid age. He was once considered the top international prospect back in 2007 and was offered a $2.7 million signing bonus by the Cleveland Indians but was voided by the United States government due to his age.

On January 13, 2014, he was invited to spring training. The Braves traded Salcedo to the Pirates for Bryton Trepagnier on February 5, 2015. He was traded to the Kansas City Royals in August 2015.

Sam Selman



Samuel Ayres Selman (born November 14, 1990) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization.

Selman was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 14th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft out of St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Austin, Texas. He did not sign and played college baseball at Vanderbilt University for the Commodores from 2010 to 2012.

Selman was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the second round of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft. He signed with the Royals and made his professional debut with the Idaho Falls Chukars, recording a 2.09 earned run average (ERA) and 89 strikeouts in ​60 1⁄3 innings. Selman played for the Wilmington Blue Rocks in 2013. In a game against the Potomac Nationals in August, Selman was removed after eight no-hit innings due to pitch count. Selman started 2014 with the Double-A Northwest Arkansas Naturals and was promoted to the Triple-A Omaha Storm Chasers in August.

Josh Staumont



Joshua Tyler Staumont (born December 21, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization.

Staumont attended La Habra High School in La Habra, California and played college baseball at Azusa Pacific University. He was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the second round of the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft. He became the highest selected players from Asuzsa Pacific. He made his professional debut that year with the Arizona League Royals and was later promoted to the Idaho Falls Chukars. In 2016 Staumont pitched for the Wilmington Blue Rocks and Northwest Arkansas Naturals. After the season, he played in the Arizona Fall League.

Chase Vallot



Chase Anthony Vallot (born August 21, 1996) is an American professional baseball catcher in the Kansas City Royals organization.

Vallot attended St. Thomas More School in Lafayette, Louisiana. As a senior, he hit .545 with 13 home runs and 60 runs batted in. He won numerous awards that year including Louisiana's Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year and Farm Bureau-Louisiana Sports Writers Association Mr. Baseball. He was also named the Louisville Slugger Player of the Year. During his career he hit .456 with 25 home runs in 65 games.

Vallot was drafted by the Kansas City Royals with the 40th overall pick in the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft. Vallot signed with the Royals, and was assigned to the Burlington Royals, where he posted a .215 batting average with seven home runs and 27 RBIs. In 2015, he played for the Lexington Legends, posting a .219 batting average with 13 home runs and forty RBIs, and in 2016, he returned to Lexington, where he improved, batting .235 with 15 home runs and 46 RBIs. In 2017, he played for the Wilmington Blue Rocks where he slashed .231/.380/.438 with 12 home runs and 37 RBIs in 89 games.

Nolan Watson



Nolan Michael Watson is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization. The Kansas City Royals drafted him 33rd overall in the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft. He attended Lawrence North High School.

At the time of the 2015 draft, Watson was 5â€"1 with Lawrence North, withan 0.63 ERA and 70 strikeouts in 44 2/3 innings. Prior to the draft, he was ranked 56th by Baseball America's annual rankings of prospects.
