Series 5 (On the Road) (2008)
After a one-year hiatus, this series marks a dramatic change in production value. Mike travels around Europe to source target cars when local examples are either too expensive to buy or too rusty to work on. Aside from being the first to travel outside the UK, several production elements have changed. For example, the segment where Mike interviews people with similar cars has been dropped, giving the series more focus on the car being restored. In addition, Edd joins Mike in the car's final test drive before the sale.
Series 6 (2009)
This series marks the first use of a rotating platform to display the restored vehicle. It is also the first series to be split into two parts, taking a four-month break halfway.
Series 7 (2010)
This series dropped the two-part format in favour of a single one-hour episode format.
Series 8 (2011)
Part 2 of this series marks the first time Mike sources the featured vehicles directly from the United States. He would continue to import other vehicles from the U.S. during the second half of Series 9 and 10.

Series 10 (2013)
Series 11 (2014)
